Cumbiamba is Miami's fastest growing Cumbia band founded by musician Alexandre Merbouti. In 6 short months since their July Debut on Peruvian Independence Day, they've had a feature article in the Miami New Times, secured a residency in Little Havana, packed some of Miami's top venues like Las Rosas and Gramps, and amassed a cult following that is always ready to dance.

Consisting of 10 members form a kaleidoscope of backgrounds including Puerto Rico, Cuba, Colombia, Algeria, and Africa, their mix of influences is heard and felt in their tropical grooves. Starting by honoring their Cumbia heroes Los Mirlos, they have started to build a repertoire that mirrors Miami's swampy, lush backdrop, creating a new sound in Cumbia that is completely their own.
