BLACK BRIGADE

Black Brigade is a Miami-based surf noir trio founded by musician and artist Alexandre Merbouti. Channeling Middle-Eastern tremolo-soaked guitar and first-wave punk urgency, the band draws from the raw force of Love, Death, Pure Hell, and Bad Brains as much as the shadowed tension of post-punk.

The group debuted opening for La Femme on the final date of their U.S. tour before the band’s sold-out arena performance at Accor Arena in Paris, and has since opened for Lydia Lunch and performed at Miami Psych Fest. With over 15 years embedded in Miami’s independent music community, Merbouti brings deep local roots and a reputation for explosive, high-energy live performances built for large rooms.
